Quick Document Capture
The fastest way to digitize a paper document. Take a photo (or select from your gallery), and Nocarta handles text extraction, field detection, auto-fill, and email delivery — all in one guided flow.
Complete Automation
The flow walks you through 5 steps:
- Capture — Take a photo or upload your paper document (multiple pages supported)
- Analyze — Nocarta reads the text and detects all fillable fields automatically
- Fill — Review detected fields and complete the values (with auto-fill from your profile)
- Send — Enter a recipient email and send the completed form
- Share — Get a QR code so anyone can reuse the same digitized template
Step 1: Capture
- Open Templates and click New Template
- Take a photo using your camera, or Choose from gallery to select an existing image
- Give the form a name (a default name with today's date is suggested)
- A thumbnail strip appears showing your captured pages
- Optionally tap a thumbnail to edit the image (rotate, crop, adjust brightness)
- Add more pages if your document has multiple pages
- Click Next to submit
Multi-page support:
- Multiple photos: Select several images at once from your gallery
- PDF files: Upload a PDF and each page is automatically split into separate images (up to 20 pages)
- Add more: Use the Add Page button to capture additional pages after the first one
Long Documents (Panorama)
For a document larger than one photo, click Scan long document next to the photo buttons: pan the camera slowly over it (or pick several overlapping photos) and the frames are merged into a single page before analysis. Use the direction toggle for vertical (long) or horizontal (wide) documents.
Step 2: Analyze
After clicking Next, Nocarta processes your images automatically:
- Images are uploaded to the server
- Text and structure are read from the document using text extraction
- Fillable fields are detected and labeled
- A progress screen shows the status — this usually takes a few seconds
No action required on your part during this step.
Step 3: Fill
After analysis, you see a form with all detected fields. Nocarta compares field labels with data saved in your profile (name, phone, address, ID, etc.) and suggests pre-filled values:
- Tap Use it to accept a suggestion
- Tap I'll type it to enter a different value manually
- Fields not matched from your profile are left blank for you to fill in
To improve auto-fill coverage, add your common details in Settings.
Step 4: Send
On the review screen you can:
- See a summary of all fields and how many are filled
- Expand each page section to review individual field values
- Enter a recipient email to send the completed form
- Add an optional personal message
- Click Send to deliver the filled form by email
There is a daily send limit. The remaining count is shown on the review screen.
Step 5: Share (QR Code)
After sending, you receive a QR code that links directly to the digitized template. Anyone who scans it can fill and submit the same form. This is useful for:
- Reusing the same paper form repeatedly without re-scanning
- Sharing a form with colleagues or customers
- Posting the QR code on the original paper document for easy access
Image Editor
Tap any thumbnail to open the built-in image editor. This is the same editor available in Image Preparation (Advanced menu), with all the same tools:
- Rotate (slider + quick 90°/180°/270° buttons)
- Brightness and contrast adjustment
- Crop
- Auto-straighten (straighten tilted photos)
- Reset to original
Click Save to apply your edits — the thumbnail updates with the edited version.
Tips
- Good lighting matters. Take photos in well-lit conditions for better reading accuracy.
- Straighten before submitting. Use the image editor to straighten tilted photos — even small rotations affect reading quality.
- Crop to the document. Remove the table, desk, or background around the document for cleaner results.
- Use PDF for multi-page. If you have a scanner, scan to PDF and upload — page splitting is automatic.
- Fill your profile. Add your name, phone, and address in Settings to auto-fill future forms.
