Nocarta is a platform that helps you digitize documents, collect structured data, store credentials securely, and automate repetitive browser tasks.

Whether you're capturing a receipt on your phone or automating data entry across multiple websites, Nocarta provides the tools you need.

Notebook

For: Everyone

Notebook is the quickest way to capture information from paper documents.

What you can do:

  • Take a photo of any document (receipt, invoice, business card, note)
  • Text is automatically read from your photo
  • Mark specific areas to capture data (dates, amounts, names)
  • Search through all your captured text
  • Copy content as formatted text
  • Send captured data to automations

Example uses:

  • Photograph a receipt → Extract the total amount and date
  • Scan a business card → Capture name, phone, email
  • Take a picture of handwritten notes → Convert to searchable text

Forms

Forms let you create reusable templates, collect structured data, and digitize paper documents in multiple ways.

What you can do:

  • Quick Document Capture:
    • Take a photo of any paper document or upload a PDF
    • Text and structure are automatically extracted
    • A template is created in seconds
    • Generate a QR code to share — scan and fill from any phone
    • Multi-page support: capture multiple pages or upload entire PDFs
  • Digital Twin (Smart Filling):
    • Fill forms with a structured layout: sections, validation, and auto-save
    • Smart field detection: dates, emails, phones, currencies recognized automatically
    • Table support with editable cells and automatic calculations
    • Switch seamlessly between Visual mode (click fields), Chat mode (guided questions), and Digital Form mode
  • Value Sets (Reference Lists):
    • Create reusable lists (medications, cities, product codes) for dropdown suggestions
    • Import from CSV for large datasets
    • Smart search with AI finds values by meaning (e.g., "heart medicine" → cardiovascular drugs)
    • Cascading filters: one field filters another (e.g., State → City)

Embed Nocarta forms directly into your web or mobile application with full security and privacy controls.

What you can do:

  • Embed forms: Redirect users to Nocarta forms from your app, get callbacks when they submit
  • Pre-fill fields: pass field values through the partner API when creating an instance
  • User mapping: Track submissions with your internal user IDs
  • Callbacks: Receive submission notifications at your webhook endpoints
  • Test mode: Develop and test without creating production data

Security features:

  • One-time capability links for end-user fill (no login required)
  • Token expiration (max 24 hours) prevents replay attacks
  • Allowed origins whitelist restricts which domains can embed forms
  • Field-level prefill whitelist controls which fields accept external data
  • All prefill values are sanitized by field type (HTML stripped, length limited)
  • Comprehensive audit logging of all partner access

Privacy features:

  • B2B2C mode: your end users don't need Nocarta accounts

Secrets (Credential Vault)

For: Users who need secure credential storage, especially for automation

Secrets is a secure vault for storing passwords, API keys, certificates, and other sensitive information.

What you can do:

  • Store different types of credentials:
    • Passwords and login credentials
    • API keys for services
    • SSH keys and certificates
    • Database connection details
  • Choose your protection level:
    • Tier 1: Encrypted on server, server decrypts for automation
    • Tier 2: Encrypted with your master password, only you can access (never leaves your device)
  • Track version history and restore previous values
  • Set expiration dates and get alerts when credentials need rotation
  • See who accessed each secret and when
  • Attach files (like certificate files or SSH keys)
  • Organize with tags

Automation

For: Users who want to automate repetitive browser tasks (requires Desktop app)

Automation lets you create browser automations that run on your computer, automating repetitive tasks like filling forms, logging into websites, or extracting data.

What you can do:

  • Record or build step-by-step browser actions:
    • Navigate to websites
    • Click buttons and links
    • Fill in forms and text fields
    • Select options from dropdowns
    • Wait for pages to load
    • Take screenshots
    • Extract data from pages
  • Inject credentials from your Secrets vault automatically

Requirements:

  • Nocarta Desktop app must be installed and running
  • Automations execute on your computer, not on a server (for security)

Desktop App

For: Users who need to run automations

The Nocarta Desktop app is a companion application that runs on your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer.

What you can do:

  • Run automations with a live browser view
  • See each step execute in real-time
  • Use credentials securely (they never leave your device for Tier 2)
  • Receive automations started from your phone

Available for: macOS, Windows, and Linux. Download from /downloads.

Translation (Diagram to Config)

For: Users who sketch processes on whiteboards or paper

Translation converts photographed diagrams into ready-to-use Nocarta configurations.

What you can do:

  • Photograph a whiteboard flowchart → Convert to a working Automation
  • Sketch a form layout → Generate a Form Template with fields
  • Draw a processing pipeline → Create a Doc Prep Recipe
  • Map out a decision tree → Build a Prompt Template

How it works:

  1. Upload or capture an image of your diagram in Notebook
  2. Run diagram analysis
  3. Click "Convert to..." and select your target type
  4. Review the generated configuration and save

Browser Scripting

For: Developers building API integrations and advanced automations

Browser Scripting extends Automations with NAL http steps for API calls, data transformation, and complex logic — running in your own browser tab, no desktop app required.

What you can do:

  • Make HTTP requests with http get / http post to external APIs
  • Parse JSON responses and extract data
  • Transform data between steps
  • Implement conditional logic and loops
  • Call APIs that allow requests from Nocarta, and only the hosts you list on the automation

Mobile to Desktop

The AI Assistant helps you get answers and complete tasks using natural language.

AI Integration

What your assistant can do:

  • Browse your documents — list templates, search by name, view details
  • Fill out forms — create new instances and fill in field values

  • Work with notebooks — view, create, and update entries

Sign in securely without remembering passwords.

Login options:

  • Passkeys: Use Face ID, Touch ID, or Windows Hello - no password needed, phishing-resistant
  • Magic Links: Receive a login link via email - click to sign in instantly

Multiple Languages

Nocarta is available in 9 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. Change your language in Settings.
